Axle

First Appearance: Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Reunions

Axle is Captain Hot Rod's aide. She is a female mouse with cream-colored fur that lightens to white as it reaches the top of her head. The slightly-longer than shoulder-length curly hair is white. She is in her twenties. Roddie saved her life, earning Axle's unswerving loyalty. Part of Axle's brain had to be replaced with a computer, which developed into her odd speech pattern.

She is in love with Commander Clutch, Roddie's second-in-command. She doesn't believe he wants to be with her, that he would probably prefer a woman that doesn't have any replacement body parts. So she never acted on her feelings until Clutch was injured in Colonel Exhaust's coup. Tala and Vinnie found him before he died from his wounds. He called for Axle as he was loaded into an ambulance. Roddie encouraged her to go with him. Hopefully, they'll take the opportunity to begin a relationship (read Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Reunions).

Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Shatter Your Illusions

Mrs. Biddle is the director of the Cook County Orphanage, home of the orphan kids the Biker Mice have befriended. She is a sweet woman in the later half of middle age who cares about the children under her care. Bluto

Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Put Me Back Together

Bluto is one of the sub-leaders in Limburger's goon army, so nicknamed because of his resemblance to the character from the Popeye cartoon. He seems more intelligence than most of the goons. He actually managed to hurt and capture Throttle, and then recaptured the mouse and Charley at the Last Chance Garage. Charley shot him and freed Throttle and the goons escaped (read Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Put Me Back Together). Bluto will probably return and hold a grudge.

Bola

First Appearance: Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Shatter Your Illusions

Bola is Modo's oft-referred-to "grey-furred mama." Rimfire is her grandson. She has survived the war through sheer will--though given everyone's reluctance to get on her bad side, her formidable temper probably helped too. Her tongue is sharp and her eyes are shrewd. She can usually see what you try to hide and then will berate you for trying to hide. Honesty and politeness come first for her.

Charley finally met her on the human woman's second trip to Mars. She and Bola agreed about many things, including the way Carbine had treated Throttle wasn't fair (read Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Shatter Your Illusions).

And after she learned that Modo is a father, Charley can't help wondering how Modo is going to tell his mother that she is a grandmother again (read Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Reunions).

He is about six-feet nine-inches tall with coppery-red fur. He has strong feelings for Axle, but is unwilling to jeopardize their working friendship.

He took a shot for Roddie during Colonel Exhaust's coup, saving her life. She managed to staunch the wound before being captured. Tala and Vinnie found him before her bled to death. He called for Axle and she went to him when he was being loaded into an ambulance. Hopefully, they'll be able to work something out. When Charley accidentally viewed Throttle's memories that make up his nightmares, she saw one of Throttle holding an older mouse's hand as he died and gaining the title alenish (read Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Put Me Back Together). This mouse was Cutlass, Hot Rod's father and brother of Throttle's father Blade. As seen in a picture in Roddie's office, he and Throttle share the same features and general build but Cutlass had dun-colored fur. Upon the death of Throttle's parents, he and his wife Vev raised Throttle (read Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Reunions).

Colonel Exhaust

First Appearance: Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Reunions

Colonel Exhaust was the mouse in charge of Internal Security on board the Olympian Fury. He was promoted to the position when the former Internal Security commander died under suspicious circumstances soon after Hot Rod became Captain. He had always maintained that if Mars hadn't allowed aliens onto the planet the Plutarkians would not have been able to buy it up. Since the Olympian Fury is the last remnant of Martian culture, it is up to himself to prevent the aliens from completely destroying it. Unfortunately, the Fury had an alien friendly policy and the Captain's alien blood made her sympathetic to the alien cause. So the Colonel constantly found his plans to protect the ship thwarted by her.

He worked on convincing more citizens that they must take a stand against all non-mice, recruiting more people into Internal Security that believed the same, and encouraging aliens to go back to their own kind. But Captain Hot Rod continued to make alliances with aliens: the miner Ivero and the mercenary Tala being the two most dangerous. It became apparent that the only way to protect the Fury was to remove her from the position of Captain. He put Ruger on the bridge crew to await the perfect opportunity to eliminate Hot Rod and those loyal to her.

Hot Rod made the first move. The Rock Squad attacked a Plutarkian ship and captured a transport booth. She immediately took control of it and placed it on the bridge. She then used it to bring her cousin Throttle, his companions, and the alien he was romantically involved with--a human woman.

In order to prevent Hot Rod's destruction of the Fury, Exhaust started his campaign to take control. Ruger attacked the bridge crew and took Hot Rod prisoner. Internal Security officers captured her cousin and his woman. The others involved with Hot Rod's plans escaped. Officers sealed off the Rock Squad's hanger bay and kept them from returning from their military exercises. Exhaust ordered the prisoners' deaths, starting with the human woman Charley. Throttle escaped while they had her on the jolt bed. He freed her and proceeded to fight with Colonel Exhaust, killing him in the process (read Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Reunions).

Hot Rod

First Appearance: Biker Mice From Mars: Wars Are Won By Those Who Dare: Reunion

Roddie by Lola Roddie in dress by Lola Roddie by Morning

Also known as Roddie

Hot Rod is the daughter of Cutlass and Vev. She inherited her shapeshifter mother's Martian mouse form--black fur and bright blue sclera without an iris in her eyes--without the ability to change it. She was born soon after her cousin Throttle came to live with them after the death of his parents. She and Throttle were raised like brother and sister, and there were lots of time he and his friends, Modo and Vinnie, couldn't get out of babysitting. Through their fathers, Throttle and Roddie inherited strong telepathic abilities, but only with blood relatives. With everyone else, they had to use their antennae.

Roddie's crush on Vinnie developed when she was ten-years-old and Vinnie was twelve. But he never realized it since all she would do was tease him.

Throttle, Vinnie, and Modo joined the Freedom Fighters when Throttle was seventeen. Roddie had every intention of joining with them, but Throttle tattled to her parents. Vev pitched a fit, and Cutlass used his connections in the government to get two slots onboard the refugee ship, the Olympian Fury. Throttle refused to go, having made a commitment to the Freedom Fighters. So Roddie turned to Modo's girlfriend Stella. The two had recently broken up, and Roddie figured absence would make Modo's heart grow fonder. Stella agreed and they both boarded the Fury.

The Plutarkians weren't about to let such easy targets get away. As soon as the Fury reached space, they attacked. They crippled the ship and boarded. Big mistake, the mice were willing to fight back. Roddie found herself leading a group of them. The mice routed the Plutarkians off the Fury, destroyed the Stench Carrier, and hid in the asteroid belt.

The Captain was impressed by the skills Roddie had shown and made her his new second-in-command. The former one had died during the fight. Roddie's first task was to figure out a semi-permanent solution for the refugees, since finding a planet suitable for settling was out of the equation. She drew on her Earth anime knowledge and put them to work building a city inside the mining ship's main hold. She also helped the Captain revamp the ship's mission. Instead of just protecting the refugees, the Fury would also find ways to rescue Plutarkian prisoners and slaves. It was through this that the Rock Squad was invented, and Roddie met her future husband Lance.

About seven months into the voyage, Stella gave birth to the first baby born onboard, her and Modo's son, Sparks. Roddie became aunt by default. Besides, she had been the one to introduce Stella and Modo. Then she was the one to take guardianship of the three-year-old Sparks when his father was announced killed in a ship crash and Stella succumbed to her cancer.

First Appearance: Biker Mice From Mars: Reunions

Ivero is a a giant humanoid alien miner eight and a half feet tall with two legs and four arms who lives onboard the Olympian Fury. When he refused to give into Colonel Exhaust's intimidation, he became the leader of the non-mouse population on the Fury. Tala made his acquaintance when Exhaust tried his tactics on her and failed miserably, and Ivero became one of her other contacts on the Fury.

He and the organization he created was instrumental in protecting the civilian non-mice during Colonel Exhaust's coup. He and the miners also took over Internal Security offices after the prisoners had been rescued (read Biker Mice From Mars: Reunions).

First Appearance: Biker Mice From Mars: Shatter Your Illusions

It has a feminine synthesized voice, has control over the ship's functions and the security of Tala's building, and has a medical subprogram to run the med bay. Generally, it keeps Tala's life in order and helps her with her mission to stop Plutarkians and slavers (read Biker Mice From Mars: Shatter Your Illusions).

MC provided quiet assistance while docked inside the Olympian Fury during Colonel Exhaust's coup. It gave sanctuary to Modo, Axle, and Sparks as they fled Internal Security officers. It also hacked into the Internal Security computers to discover the whereabouts of Throttle and Charley (read Biker Mice From Mars: Reunions).

Sparks

First Appearance: Biker Mice From Mars: Reunions

Sparks from Reunions by Tygra Adult Sparks by Black Storm Van Pendragon Sparks by Suska

Sparks was the first child born onboard the Olympian Fury about seven months after it survived the Plutarkian attack. He and his mother Stella became minor celebrities in Olympian City because of it. Yet Stella and her friend Roddie managed to give him a normal childhood.

He didn't look much like his mother other than sharing her hair. Stella would (with a sad humor) tell people that Sparks had gotten her brains and his father's brawn and looks. Other than that, she was curiously silent about the Freedom Fighter that had been left behind on Mars.

Sparks was stronger and smarter than kids his own age. By age three, he had the reading level of a second grader, starting to figure out English, and was as strong as a six-year-old. But it didn't prepare him for his mother growing sick and leaving him. Roddie took him in and had to tell the young boy that his father was dead as well.

For the next four years, it was just him and Roddie. Roddie was still the second-in-command of the Fury. Sparks started school and quickly accelerated through several grades. But he couldn't manage to let anti-alien remarks about Roddie slide. He often got into fights, holding his physical own with students bigger and older than he was.

The Captain of the Fury died and Roddie was promoted to command of the entire ship. Colonel Exhaust took command of the Internal Security forces after their former commander died under suspicious circumstance. Anti-alien hostility began to increase. Sparks didn't miss the skirmishes between Roddie and Colonel Exhaust, and how Exhaust would kill her if he could find a way.

He made a deal with the mercenary Tala. She gave him a gun for a copy of the Olympian Fury's plans. He was prepared for anything Exhaust might try. And completely missed when Roddie and Lance started dating. Before he could decide if Lance was trustworthy, Roddie goes ahead and married him!

Lance proved that he was worthy of trust and Sparks slowly warmed up to him. But he didn't have any right to tell him what to do, which to give the Captain of the Rock Squad credit he learned quickly. Things began to settle into a routine--even the constant vigilance for a move from Colonel Exhaust. Then a Plutarkian ship was captured and they salvaged a transport booth from it.

A week later, a trio of Freedom Fighters and a human woman transported to the Fury through it. They turned out to be Roddie's cousin Throttle and his friends Modo and Vinnie. Roddie had heard that they had died around the same time as Sparks's mother and father, but they had made their way to Earth and helped their friend Charley Davidson battle the Plutarkians there.

They arrived the same day of Roddie's Captain's Ball and the day Sparks got himself expelled from school. Roddie forbid him to go to the ball but he snuck in to watch her back, running into Modo. Something about the big mouse made Sparks trust him. He left Roddie under Modo's protection and got back to the apartment before Lance and Roddie.

His first day of punishment work duties was uneventful up until he went looking for Modo. He found the biker mouse in the Hall of Memories. And that's where an Internal Security officer found him. Modo took care of that creep and they escaped to find a coup had started. They rescued Axle and met up with Tala and Vinnie. From Tala's ship, they struck back at Colonel Exhaust's forces. Sparks freed Roddie and Throttle from the Internal Security cells, but Roddie sent him home with Modo after an Internal Security officer used him as a hostage to blow up the elevator to the bridge.

The Biker Mice included Sparks in on their post-victory celebration until it came to a screeching halt with Charley's collapse. And then came to a further halt with the revelation that Modo is Sparks's long-lost father. Modo and Roddie started fighting over him and Sparks ran. Modo found him at Stella's place in the Hall of Memories. Sparks found comfort in his father's arms and Stella's wish came true, Sparks has a father in his life.

When the Biker Mice and Charley left the Fury, Sparks went with them back to Chicago (read Biker Mice From Mars: Reunions). The question is Chicago ready for an eight-year-old, Martian mouse?

Stella

First Appearance: First mentioned in Biker Mice From Mars: Shatter Your Illusions

Stella by Suska

Stella was Modo's first serious girlfriend. He contemplated marriage to her, but they had a bad fight before he ever asked. She wanted him to give up the dangerous biking stunts he, Throttle, and Vinnie had fun doing. He let his pride get away with him and decided that no girl was going to tell him what to do. Before they could patch things up, the Plutarkians began to invade Mars in mass. He, Throttle and Vinnie joined the Freedom Fighters. Stella got onto a refugee ship, the Olympian Fury. The Plutarkians destroyed the Fury and all the refugees onboard.

Modo was devastated. Even though it has been eight years, he still get choked up about her (read Biker Mice From Mars: Shatter Your Illusions).

What Modo didn't know was their fight started out of Stella's concern for his safety. She wanted him to be around to be a part of their child's life--unlike her father and Modo's own. But she couldn't tell him she was pregnant and after he left she wouldn't tell him because she didn't want him returning from a guilty conscious. And eventually time ran out for them both.

Hot Rod, Throttle's cousin, was sent to the refugee ship when Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie decided to join the Freedom Fighters. Roddie went under protest (she wanted to be a Freedom Fighter too) and worked out a plan to sneak Stella onboard with her. Stella agreed to go, realizing that it was too dangerous to raise a child on Mars. The Olympian Fury wasn't destroyed by the Plutarkians but it was forced into hiding in the asteroid belt. Stella was one of the civilians that survived and seven months later gave birth to the first child born on the Fury, Sparks.

She never saw anyone else romantically, despite numerous offers from single men onboard. Being a small community and given Sparks's celebrity status, Olympian City gossiped about Sparks's mysterious father. The only thing Roddie and Stella would confirm was that he was a Freedom Fighter back on Mars.

When Sparks was three-years-old, Stella developed a type of cancer. The doctors did what they could and she struggled to survive. Then came the news bootlegged from the Plutarkian High Command that three leaders of the Martian Resistance--the famed Biker Mice Throttle, Vinnie, and Modo--had been captured and that the prison transport ferrying them to Plutark for trial and execution crashed killing everyone onboard. Stella gave up fighting her disease. She gave custody of Sparks to Roddie before she died (read Biker Mice From Mars: Reunions).

Tala

First Appearance: Biker Mice From Mars: Shatter Your Illusions

Tala by Black Storm Van Pendragon Tala's bike Hot Stuff by Virago

Also known as Olivia Twist, Benzine, and N'qoth Talantah.

Tala is a human mercenary about twenty-four-years-old. She rides a blue Martian bike named Hot Stuff that has been modified with a flight mode built into the tires. She flies a black spaceship named More Hot Stuff. She's tough, a great shot and biker, and uses sarcasm as her buffer. She also has prophetic dreams. The one that has been with her the longest and disturbs her the most is the dream in which a humanoid mouse with white fur made love to her and she wanted him to. Tala's body has been genetically engineered to be stronger and heal faster than the human norm, and to be immune to the effects of alcohol. However, a certain mixed drink will still get her drunk and she is very careful not to order it often.

In the Earth year 1990, Tala bought a building in Chicago and set up her "Olivia Twist" identity for business on that planet. She left to continue her mercenary career. She made her first trip to Mars about four years after that. She and Carbine didn't get along, but the General realized they needed her help. Carbine assigned Stoker, recently broken out of prison, to be the go-between the Freedom Fighters and Tala. Tala and the former Freedom Fighter leader got along fine.

About a year later, Tala heard a rumor that Zekpith was leading a gang of slavers and they were doing business with a Plutarkian on Earth. She completed a supply run to Mars and decided she needed to check up on the neighboring planet. It had been five years since she had last been there. Carbine paid her to hand-deliver a letter to a mouse in Chicago named Throttle. Since the Plutarkian she was looking for, a Lawrence Limburger, was supposed to be there, she took the job.

She found Limburger, Zekpith, Throttle, and the mouse from her dreams--Throttle's bro Vinnie. She ended up accepting the Biker Mice and Charley's help, and brought them for a weekend trip to Mars. Vinnie has developed a huge crush on her and she is confused over how she feels about him. And given that her body cannot respond pleasurably to his advances, she fears that nothing will develop (read Biker Mice From Mars: Shatter Your Illusions).

About a year before meeting the Biker Mice, Tala attacked a slave ship in the asteroid belt and got some unexpected help from a troop of Martian mice. This troop belonged to the Olympian Fury, a refugee ship from Mars dedicated to freeing as many mice as they could and striking the Plutarkians whenever the stinkfish gave them a chance. She and the Captain struck a deal and Tala became a supply runner. She could get their products to Mars without tipping off the Plutarkians about their existence.

So Tala ferried their goods to Mars and delivered slaves and prisoners she freed to the Fury. Then Colonel Exhaust took over Internal Security. He and Tala clashed a few times and Tala usually emerged victorious without having to rely on her connection to the Captain. Ivero allied with her against Exhaust and she ferried the non-mice who were frightened away to safer havens.

She was bringing in a new group of freed slaves when she learned of Exhaust's new scheme--to deny aliens the right to board the Fury. The alien in question was a baby adopted by one of the ex-slaves, so Tala went over the Internal Security officer's head and called Roddie.

Roddie and her husband arrived quickly along with the Biker Mice and Charley. They had been transported to the Fury by Limburger and had no idea what was going on. Vinnie and Roddie both talked Tala into going to Roddie's ball after Colonel Exhaust had been put in his place and the baby allowed onboard.

She used the time with Vinnie at the party to try to discover the connection between them and Roddie, and learned that Roddie and Throttle are cousins. She warned Vinnie about Exhaust's bigotry against non-mice. He actually suggested a logical choice of action--to stay onboard until she was convinced the baby was safe.

Tala took the first steps to assuring that by talking to Ivero after the Captain's Ball. Her next step was to follow Exhaust at the start of Olympian City's next day. His first stop was to harass Charley and Tala stepped in before the bikes decided to protect the mechanic with lethal force. It ruined her spy mission, but she got a second date with Vinnie.

While they were on that date, Colonel Exhaust began his coup to take control of the Fury and sent Internal Security officers to arrest them. They whipped their tails easily enough, but not in time to keep Vinnie's bike from getting captured.

Much to Vinnie's dismay, they had to leave it in Internal Security hands so they could make sure people were safe. Ivero and his people were protecting endangered civilians and promised to keep Internal Security forces busy.

Tala and Vinnie found Modo, Axle, and Sparks at the More Hot Stuff and learned that Throttle, Charley, and Roddie had been captured and Lance and the Rock Squad were being locked out of their hanger bay. Using plans she had gotten from Sparks in an even trade, Tala devised a double-attack.

Vinnie, Sparks, and Modo rescued Throttle, Charley, and Roddie while Tala and Axle let the Rock Squad back in. Then both groups met at the main elevator back to the bridge to finish the fight. She and Vinnie were the first inside the bridge, but were unable to stop Ruger from committing suicide. They found Clutch before the commander died from his injuries.

Charley's body reacted to her experience on Exhaust's jolt bed and the Biker Mice got Tala. She explained what treatment to use based on personal experience. While Charley and Throttle were recuperating, Tala pointed out the incredible resemblance shared by Modo and Sparks--correctly guessing that Modo was Sparks's father and setting off an argument between Modo and Roddie.

She brought Vinnie back to her rooms and he caused another panic attack. Angrily, she claimed her was only interested in sex. He called her a tease and said she asked to be raped. She just barely kept control of her rage and tossed him out of her rooms, after telling him she was tied down to keep from fighting back when she was fourteen.

Throttle was the one who got them both talking again. Tala agreed to give Vinnie another chance because of how he apologized and because it was partly her fault. They decided to have another date when Tala returned to Earth (read Biker Mice From Mars: Reunions).

Vev

First Appearance: First mentioned in Biker Mice From Mars: Reunions

Vev was a shapeshifting alien who settled on Mars. She took the form of a black-furred mouse with long black hair. But she never could shape the eye correctly. The best she could do is to get a black pupil on a solid blue sclera.

She married Cutlass and they had one child, Hot Rod, who inherited all of her mother's features (including the alien eyes) but without the ability to change them. She and her husband raised their nephew Throttle after his parents died.

She was a loving woman with the major flaw of trying to run everyone else's life for them. When Throttle told them Roddie wanted to join the Freedom Fighters with him, Modo, and Vinnie, she demanded that Cutlass use his government contacts to get Roddie onboard the Olympian Fury. Cutlass managed to get two spots, but Throttle refused to go not willing to leave his bros or the commitment he made to the Freedom Fighters. Roddie sneaked Stella onboard instead.

Vev died when their house was destroyed during a Plutarkian raid and before the Freedom Fighters could get to that section of the city. She never heard the news that the Fury was destroyed by the Plutarkians (read Biker Mice From Mars: Reunions).
