The Triforce

I really did think The Legend of Zelda: Destiny was the last of the Hyrule stories. But the Zoe began to yell for her turn at the hero business--she was already starting to complain in Destiny.

I also realized at the same time that Zack Baker from my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles novels hadn't been given a chance to prove himself away from his sister or the Turtles. I should put Zoe and Zack together, I thought. They both share a self-loathing, because of actions they were forced to take. They would understand each other because of this.

The first draft squeezed the trilogy into one novel. It didn't work. I don't feel bad about this; Lucas did the same thing with his Star Wars trilogy. I'm in good company. So I decided to divide it into three separate novels.

I completed the rough draft of To Be A Hero: Hero Awakens in 1997. The next two novels are Hero Born and Hero Recognized, neither of which have been started. See the Family Tree and Chronology to understand exactly where these novels will fall in Hyrule's timeline.
